Scenario Description
If the merchant's POS terminal comes with a code scanner or any other device that can scan QR codes or barcodes, choose the Quick Pay mode provided by WeChat Pay.
Quick Pay refers to the payment code of the WeChat client that users presents, and the merchant uses the code scanning device to obtain the user's payment code (the code is 18 digits, starting with 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15). The payment code is then carried to request the WeChat payment API to complete the deduction. In this payment mode, if the payment amount is less than 3000 RMB or the number of payments on the day is less than 10 times, the request will be deducted directly without requiring the user to enter a password. If any of the above conditions are not met, the user will be required to enter a password to verify the deduction.
Precautions
This scenario requires the merchant to work with the POS terminal manufacturer to rebuild their existing POS system, so the development cost is relatively high.
Scenario Description
If the merchant's POS terminal comes with an external screen or any other screen that can display content to users, choose the Native Payment mode provided by WeChat Pay.
Native payment refers to the institution carrying order information to request WeChat payment. The WeChat system will generate a pre-payment order and return a dynamic QR code link code_url to the institution. The institution can generate a QR code based on the content of the code_url for the user to scan to complete the payment.
Precautions
This scenario also requires the merchant to work with the POS terminal manufacturer to rebuild their existing POS system, so the development cost is relatively high.
Scenario Description
If the merchant's POS terminal comes with no code scanner or screen that can display content, consider printing a QR code on the receipts for accessing WeChat Pay. To be more specific, generate a dynamic QR code on the receipts based on the current order.
In this scenario, the payment mode used is the same as described in the second tab, that is, the Native Payment mode.
Native payment refers to the institution carrying order information to request WeChat payment. The WeChat system will generate a pre-payment order and return a dynamic QR code link code_url to the institution. The institution can generate a QR code based on the content of the code_url for the user to scan to complete the payment.
Precautions
This scenario also requires the merchant to work with the POS terminal manufacturer to rebuild their existing POS system. However, since the existing acquiring system is not completed seperated with the solution, the required development cost is lower than that of the preceding two scenarios.
However, the user experience is not as ideal this scenario, so this is recommended to be the lowest priority.
Precautions
In the case where the existing acquiring system fails to connect with WeChat Pay via any external device, refer to Solutions for offline stores without POS for the solutions. However, receipt records are not available on the existing cashier system in this solution, so extra bill checking is required. Proceed with caution when using this solution.
