Onboarding Sub-merchant FAQ

Will the merchant mobile number be verified during onborading sub-merchants?

Rules for overseas mobile numbers are different from those for mainland China mobile numbers. WeChat Pay will not verify overseas mobile numbers. Please ensure the correctness of the mobile number.

Why does an overseas WeChat Pay institution fail to onborading a sub-merchant?

1. The institution has an illegal merchant, resulting in permission limitations. Check with WeChat Pay, submit an appeal, and apply for permission restoration.

2. The institution merchant ID has no transaction for a long time since the day when it is applied for. As a result, its permissions are frozen. In this case, apply for unfreezing.

Since parameters returned by the sub-merchant query API contain indexes, will multiple sub-merchant records be returned when I query one sub-merchant? In what cases will multiple sub-merchant records be returned?

Currently, only one data record will be returned for querying one sub-merchant.
